On open days the site is open from 10:30am to 5:00pm, and trains run hourly from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The round trip is approximately 25 minutes long.
Prices for 2023: includes unlimited travel on the hourly passenger service
Adults £10
Children £4 (aged 5-14. Must be accompanied by an adult)
Family £22 (2 adults and all children)
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome on site and on our trains freeof charge
Driver for a Fiver
Driver for a fiver is available whenever we are open and running trains. For this we usually use loco 21, an 0-4-0 diesel hydraulic locomotive built in 1967 by John Fowler of Leeds.
For 2023, following many requests, we are planning to use "Darlington", a rather larger 0-6-0 diesel hydraulic loco built in 1962 by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn in Darlington, on the Sundays when we are running the MLV/4-CEP battery-electric train.
